Our Kitchen

Meal times are an important part of a child's day. GreythornECC acknowledges this and has implemented a comprehensive meal policy.  We have also been awarded the Start Right Eat Right Award.

Nutritious meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) are prepared daily in our kitchen by dedicated cook, Jamileh Heidari.  We know what goes into a meal as everything is cooked from scratch.  A weekly menu is displayed on the front noticeboard.  In addition, religious, cultural and special needs diets are catered for. Any allergies or religious requirements are listed and displayed both in the kitchen and in the children's rooms.

Morning and afternoon teas will consist of a variety of foods including- raisin bread, dips, dry biscuits, cheese, sultanas, raisins, dried apricots, fresh fruits, baked goods eg. scones, cakes, muffins, slices and fresh vegetables eg blanched carrot sticks, green peppers, celery sticks.
